A hand-drawn chain-reaction puzzle

Clatterbox

Little machines,
big clatter.

Each stage is a machine that's almost done. Add the missing parts and press Run: a ball rolls, dominoes clack, and the bell goes ding!

Real gameplay (edited)

Place. Run. Ding!

That's a whole stage.

  1. Place

Drag parts from the tray: a plank, a domino, a spring, a fan. Each stage needs just one to three.

  2. Run

Press Run and the machine comes alive. Things roll, topple and bounce.

  3. Ding!

Ring the bell or light the lamp to clear it, and get the DONE stamp.

If it stops, fix it in a tap.

When the chain stops, the game marks where. Tap to go back to editing, change the tilt and run it again. No retry limits, no waiting.

Turn the handle to tilt the plank

It rolled off the page

Each result is a recording of what the game actually did with that tilt.

Every bump plays a note.

Each part that joins the chain plays the next note of a pentatonic scale, so a working machine sings a rising melody.

Tap the xylophone (these are the game's own sounds)

The music lands right on the bell.

While you edit, the game quietly simulates your layout. When it will work, the run music sets its tempo so the final chord lands the moment the bell rings. Failing layouts start with the same groove, so the music never gives the answer away.

A bonus machine every 10 stages

Domino symphonies, plinko rain, a marble orchestra. Place one piece, then sit back and watch.
